Pharmacy related training

Drug distribution and management system software is used to manage the drugs and other supplies stock and distribution among government health care institutions in Kerala. This course session gives the participants an in-depth knowledge regarding DDMS software for the procedures in pharmacy such as procurement, stock, sub stock and issuing etc. This training program also offers practical based illustrations for the better understandings.

Dispensing refers to the process of preparing and supplying medicines to a named person together with clear instructions, advice, and counseling where necessary on the use of those medicines. This training offers the pharmacists an introductory learning experience in the good dispensing practices in the pharmacy works.  Good Dispensing Practice ensures that the right medicines of desired quality are delivered correctly to the right patient with the right dose, strength, frequency, dosage form, and quantity, together with clear instructions, both written and verbal, and with appropriate packaging suitable for maintaining the quality and efficacy of the medicine. This course contains Pre-test, Session, and Post-test. Scoring of above 50% in the post-test will enable the participants to download certificates in the course. 

The legal aspect of the pharmacy practice is complex and a must-know factor in the profession. The laws include various state laws, central laws and some rules and guidelines. Knowledge of the legal aspects empowers a pharmacist to do a fair practice in the workplace. This course provides a detailed knowledge backup for pharmacy professionals regarding the law and related areas.

Quality depends on correct manufacturing and storage: high-quality drugs are available when using rational buying procedures and when suppliers are reliable. Each drug is characterised by particular norms written in pharmacopoeia or files presented by manufacturers and recognised by competent authorities in each country. These norms concern aspects (colour, odour, etc.) physicochemical properties, analysis procedures, and shelf life and storage conditions.
