Non Communicable Diseases
State Kerala has a huge burden of Non communicable diseases due to the different epidemiological drifts and shifts. Most of the diseases classified under the head of Non communicable disease have a wide impact on public health. This unit deals with the Different non communicable diseases, strategy of Kerala state in managing NCDs, Individual health care programs, Different heath care schemes and projects, NCD health care services in various levels of health care institutions, guidelines in management of different diseases, operation guidelines of NCD clinics etc.
SWAAS Program – Kerala COPD Control Program
The Kerala state has launched a Public health program for the Prevention and management of COPD for the first time in India. This program envisages its targets on par with the SDG, covering all the levels of health care. Kerala has been the first state in India to address Chronic Respiratory Diseases (CRD) as a public health program, when it pilot-tested the PAL strategy. The unit contains 5 sessions to explain different aspects of SWAAS program which includes the topics such as Introduction, organization, and guidelines in SWAAS Program, demonstration of different procedures, and Pulmonary rehabilitation.
Training on Management of Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension
This course was organized with the contents in the webinar series of DM and HTN management conducted by state training division, NHM Kerala. The course gives an account of knowledge in various aspects of Diabetes and hypertension management in deeper aspects. The entire course distributed in 5 video sessions.
